The "Simplified Revenue Overview" option makes it easier to display the total revenue figure in the daily closing. In doing so, all posting rules are ignored and only the options "Voucher sales count towards total revenue" and "Subscription sales count towards total revenue" are applied. This results in the breakdown of revenues being displayed one below the other on the right side of the daily closing overview, so it is no longer necessary to search for the components of total revenue.
An example of using this function would be if a company grants discounts on certain products or redeems vouchers over the course of a day. In such cases, it can happen that these transactions are partially included in total revenue and partially not included in certain posting rule combinations. The "Simplified Revenue Overview" would ensure in such cases that all affected transactions are treated consistently and the overview is thereby simplified.
