On May 25, 2018, the EU's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect. In this context, we have expanded the Belbo system and our data protection terms.

There are also some new developments for you as a user. To make it as easy as possible for you to set up your Belbo account in compliance with the GDPR, we have provided you with a setup wizard. You will find the setup wizard in your calendar right after logging in.
Please note that your login must have the "Invoices" permission in order to use the wizard.

Please make sure you complete the setup by May 25, 2018.

Data Processing Agreement

Belbo processes your customers' data on your behalf. For this purpose, we have created a data processing agreement which you can first read and accept.

Use of Marketing Functions

You will continue to have the ability to send newsletters to your customers via email and SMS in Belbo. If you use Belbo's marketing functions, you will have the option to contact all customers already stored in your customer database. Customers who receive your message can decide whether and how they wish to continue receiving newsletters and appointment notifications.

This way you continue to ensure that any messages sent in the future only reach customers who have explicitly consented to this.

Data Request and Deletion Request by Your Customers

Your customers have the right to view the data you store about them. They also have the right to completely delete their own data from your customer database.

You can set in the setup wizard that your customers can request data and request deletion themselves. This allows you to comply with legal requirements without having to personally deal with such requests. You will be notified in the event of a request or deletion. This allows you to remove the customer from other systems you use as well.
If you disable this function and select manual sending, you must familiarize yourself with the legal regulations and promptly comply with the customer's request.

Data Protection

The privacy policy that your customers must accept when registering has been revised and updated. In the setup wizard, you will have the opportunity to add supplements. Select from the offered list the functions and providers you use. These include, for example, Google Analytics (the "Tracking Code" function) or Facebook (mentioning your Facebook URL in your calendar's location settings). If you regularly or occasionally export data from your Belbo calendar to use it in other services, you should also add these here. This includes, for example, email newsletter services like MailChimp or third-party point-of-sale systems.
